Manufactured by EL-AV Compressors and distributed officially in North America by EL-AIR. The EL+ 50HP with Integrated Step-Up Transformer solves the most common electrical challenge in North American facilities. Many commercial and light-industrial buildings only have 208V or 230V 3-Phase power, while heavy-duty industrial compressors are engineered for high-efficiency 460V operation. Instead of purchasing, mounting, and wiring a massive external step-up transformer that consumes valuable floor space, this model features a factory-matched 80KVA transformer built directly into the compressor housing. This integral design provides a clean, plug-and-play solution that saves thousands in electrical installation costs and footprint.
The Integral Transformer Advantage
Zero Footprint Penalty: Because the step-up transformer is integrated directly into the compressor cabinet, you do not lose any extra floor space to bulky external electrical components.
Plug-and-Play Installation: Eliminates the need to hire an electrician to run conduit between a wall-mounted transformer and your compressor. Just wire your facility's standard 208/230V 3-phase directly to the unit.
Factory-Matched Safety: The 80KVA transformer is perfectly matched to the compressor's Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and PM motor by EL-AV's engineers, ensuring optimal power delivery without inrush current issues or voltage drops.
Energy Savings: Enjoy the 35% energy reduction of our PM VFD technology while running on your building's existing low-voltage grid.
